Canadian Made Baked Goods
Beginning as a one-man show back in 1984, the Alpine Bakery has developed into an organic bakery, café, and grocery. In 1995, the Bakery moved from 4th Avenue to its current location at 411 Alexander St., in the landmark log building in Whitehorse’s downtown. At the end of 2016, after 32 years, the founder and owner Suat Tutzlak retired, and Silvia + Walter, from Germany took over the Bakery. Part of the baked goods made in Canada directory,

Baked2Go advanced bakery was founded by a group of food scientists striving to complement the traditional offerings of a bakery with their knowledge and expertise in the field of nutrition. Baked2Go does this through a line of delicious products that can be eaten on-the-go and also adhere to a variety of nutritional needs, notably the absence of allergens such as gluten, peanuts, milk and others.
Baked2GO Advanced Bakery is constantly developing, reworking, and reformulating our products in order to continuously improve what we do and respond to our loyal customers. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do. Part of the baked goods made in Canada directory.
We opened our first bakery in Kensington in 2004 with our Grandmother’s chocolate cake recipe and our Mother’s secret to irresistible buttercream icing. We started each morning before sunrise baking as many cupcakes as we could and by the afternoon we would work in the front of the store helping customers. From the very beginning, Crave has been a true labour of love.
The art of baking runs deep in our family. Growing up on our family farm in High River, Alberta we learned from the best. Our grandmothers, aunts and our Mom were amazing bakers. They not only taught us how to bake, they passed along their values of quality, honesty and integrity.
Today Crave has grown to six bakeries and a team of 100 amazing people. Our values continue to live in everything we do though our team, our processes and our baking. We continue to crack every egg, open every pound of butter by hand and only sell fresh baked cupcakes. We believe these processes are essential to the best cakes and cupcakes.

The farm has grown considerably since 1920 and has become a modern harvest and processing operation. While some of the old methods are still used, we have continued to grow and improve. We have recently received our CanadaGAP®Certification, which is a program developed in Canada to promote Good Agricultural Practices (Gap) for fruit and vegetable suppliers.
