Kirsten is a Registered Psychologist and the Director of Boost Psychology. She is passionate helping her clients reflect on their lives and assisting them to move toward feeling better. Kirsten works with adults who are experiencing issues stemming from past or current trauma, depression, anxiety, creating self-compassion, and developing boundaries. Kirsten is especially passionate about working with people experiencing stress and burnout, helping them to achieve balance in their lives. She believes in meeting her clients where they are at and helping to create a sustainable plan on their journey to wellness. She works with people to discover the things impacting their present situation, while supporting them to make changes in their lives.

She practices first and foremost from a person-centered perspective, focusing on the needs of her clients and believing that all people are inherently valuable. Kirsten often uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and prolonged exposure (PE) therapy, in conjunction with other modalities to best suit her clients needs. Kirsten works to create a warm, welcoming, judgement free space for all who attend Boost.

Kirsten holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology from the City University of Seattle. She has held various positions assisting individuals to achieve change since 2011. She is a member in good standing of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists Association of Alberta.
