Thom and Heather (nee Stewart) MacMillan of J.J. Stewart Foods live on the Northumberland Strait in beautiful Little Sands, Prince Edward Island, within a carriage ride of the site of her grandfather, J.J. Stewart’s, original general store. Together they painstakingly prepare each of their fabulous-tasting sauces, jellies and preserves in small batches in their stainless steel kettle. They hand-pour, hand-label and hand-polish each jar the way that any true artisan would.

After seven years of working from the basement, the Larsons relocated The Happy Camel Bakery And Deli to The Marketplace in Callingwood and invested in an oven designed to suit the requirement of producing more pitas instead of one at a time. Now they could supply the entire city with our renowned pita and hummus.
After 17 years We continue to bring the goodness of the Mediterranean table to you in the freshest, most authentic way possible, following the Larson’s legacy and sparing no detail when it comes to quality and taste.

Hanes Hummus was officially established by Yohannes Petros in 2012 from his home kitchen in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As with all fruits borne from a labour of love, Hanes Hummus is the classic example of a company that became a business despite never intending to become one. Since Hanes Hummus’ early “customers” were friends and family, Yohannes was driven to produce hummus that retained health and freshness as its primary goal. Though his friends heaped constant praise for his hummus and suggested he make it available to a wider public, he never took the recommendations seriously. He continued to make his classic recipe available only to those friends and family who entered his home. Part of the condiments made in Canada directory.

Saltspring Kitchen Co offers hand-made sweet and savoury jams for pairing with cheese and charcuterie. I started sharing the creations I made in my home kitchen at Salt Spring Island’s Saturday market in 2012, and found a loyal following right away. Bit by bit, our little jam company grew until we moved out of our home and into a commercial production kitchen. Since then, I’ve been able to share my love of canning with jam aficionados across BC and across the country.
Greaves Jams & Marmalades began making pure old-fashioned jams, jellies, marmalades and condiments in 1927, using only the finest fruits, vegetables, sugar and spices. Today, we continue to use these time-honoured jam recipes, hand-stirring each batch of jams in open stainless-steel kettles, to produce 35 wonderful jam and jelly preserves. No pectin or preservatives are added. Part of the condiments made in Canada directory.
