Beginning as a one-man show back in 1984, the Alpine Bakery has developed into an organic bakery, café, and grocery. In 1995, the Bakery moved from 4th Avenue to its current location at 411 Alexander St., in the landmark log building in Whitehorse’s downtown. In 2016, I was suffering from eczema. Instead of using over-the-counter creams, I was determined to heal my skin through the power of my food choices. Although I managed to clear my eczema over time, I was left with a problem: There were no indulgent, yet healthy snacks I could eat! Nothing like Eves Crackers. I decided to take snack matters into my own hands. I started experimenting at home using wholesome, real ingredients I found in my pantry.
