Our horseradish plants are all children of the same remarkable root that has been making eyes whater since the 1960’s. It all began at Tymek’s Natural Foods in a small factory, almost 30 years ago, in the heart of Toronto, with the intention of sharing our products with the Polish community. Over the years however, our variety of offered traditional home-made goods grew, as did our clientele. Now, we are not only known for our delicious natural dill pickles, but amazing sauerkraut, pickled cabbage heads, horseradish, kvas and beets with horseradish… just to name a few. Since day one, we proudly support our local Ontario farmers, using only locally grown produce to ensure the quality of our products. Brassica Mustard got its start in 1995 when founders Karen Davis and Desmond Johnston were looking to make Christmas gifts for family and friends. In 2001, after persistent encouragement from friends and family, Karen and Desmond made a more concerted effort at a sustained business venture.
