16 mile cellar is a small, family owned and operated winery and vineyard. Founded in 2010, we are located on 16 Mile Creek, at the foot of the 20 Mile Bench, near the town of Jordan. We have wine grapes planted on 12 of our 28 acre property, with a specific focus on varieties that suit our terroir: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Our wines exhibit the rich soil and climate characteristics of the Niagara Escarpment, portraying the glacial deposits and soils of the ancient Iroquois Lake.
We are zealous winemakers. From planting to harvesting and from organic production to delivery we indulge in every detail to ensure that every bottle meets our very high standards. Our goal is to produce small quantities of hand-picked, hand-made and distinctive wines each year, which, so far, have garnered the attention of wine critics across the country.
