The brewing work of the À l’abri de la Tempête team honors the raw beauty, the harshness of the elements and the distinctive character of an archipelago in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The first source of inspiration for each of the recipes remains the wealth of the island territory and its artisans. The development of a smoked malt in collaboration with the Fumoir d’Antan , the revaluation of the fruits of Gourmande de Nature , the harvest of flowers, native herbs, seaweed, spices and fresh herbs, are so many inspirations that allow you to feel the authenticity, uniqueness and maritime flavor in all our brewing products.
The beers of the Islands are the result of a creative will, of local flavors, of discussions told at the corner of the bar… and a little madness. As much inspiration as there are landscapes, stories and passionate people in the Îles de la Madeleine.
