The year that saw Sony Playstation, The Shawshank Redemption and Wonderwall blast onto the scene also set the stage for two brothers, Doug and Robert Bordt, to cross the Rocky Mountains from Alberta, settling down in British Columbia, and start a little business called Apex Granite and Tile. Little did they know that within two decades, their company would climb to the top of in the industry in Western Canada.
