It was in 1940 that Edmond Bergeron started his own cheese factory, supplied with milk by local farmers. In 1954, his sons Raymond and Égide acquired the rang des Plaines cheese dairy in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly. Their company Meuldor then produced cheddar cheese, which it did prosperously until the arrival of new regulations, centralization and the creation of cooperatives, in 1978. Meuldor was therefore absorbed by Agrinove, which has now become Agropur.
