Caledonia House Coffee – In 1987, four months after moving to the Island with my wife to be Teresa Doyle (Island Singer songwriter), we visited the Charlottetown Farmers’ Market. I was so excited by the place and recognized immediately the potential of the location. It was a place where I could bring to life my dream of owning and operating a small business while exploring my passion for excellent coffee.
We have been in business for 35 years setting freshly roasted gourmet coffees and setting the bar for those that have followed us. There are are a few good roasters on the Island now and I welcome their input. Roasting coffee is partly science and partly art. Just as people have favourite coffees and roast they tend to follow a roaster who brings to life certain qualities and characteristics in the roasting that appeals to their customers.
