East Ridge Farms began in 2013. After watching several documentaries about a) how most of the food we were consuming was over processed, full of chemicals, unnecessary additives and GMOs and b) how our current forms of mass scale agriculture are negatively affecting our planet and our health, we decided it was time for a change. East Ridge Farms was born out of a desire to know where our food was coming from and what was in it. It was also born out of a desire to reduce our carbon footprint and try to make some kind of responsible, difference in the world. We want to get our hands in the dirt… get back to the “roots” of what it means to grow food naturally and become more connected to the earth again. We hope to inspire others to do the same.
