I am a self taught artist in Nova Scotia, Canada. I combine my creativity with my deep connection to nature to create unique, whimsical art inspired by the Canadian Acadian-Boreal forest. Each Original Kalen Roblee Art & Design piece starts out as a hand-pressed tree ring print from the cross section of a real tree with a high quality textured ink on fine art paper, then to jazz it up I add ink and watercolor nature illustrations of flora fauna and funga.
Prints are high quality reproductions of these originals and done on acid free paper with archival ink. My formal education is actually in forestry, fish and wildlife technology and I spent most summers as a young adult tree planting and living in bush camps and then later after graduating working as a forest tech in northern B.C.
