Laura Inksetter – Although I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I knew I wanted to be an artist, I have a strong feeling that my love of art grew gradually out of an early obsession with the Disney movie “Fantasia.” It has everything I could ever want in a movie: flying horses, fairies, dancing ostriches, and dinosaurs. I used to sit in front of the TV, trying to sketch all the different characters using crayon on crinkly lined paper.I’ve always had an interest in history, old fashioned aesthetics and the natural world. I’m also an extreme perfectionist, with an eye for detail and a love of symmetry. My artwork merges all of these things together, combining the tranquil beauty of nature with a riot of delicious looking colours and wild patterns to amuse my inner child.
