The word Lavami means “wash me” in Italian, which perfectly embodies the beginnings of the brand, considering our very first products were soaps. But Lavami is more than just an array of products meant to cleanse. Growing up, I always struggled with skin issues. Dealing with eczema as a child, then developing psoriasis in my teens, I found that there was a stark lack of products available to help soothe these issues, that were not harsh and hydrated my dry skin.
It was only when I started making changes to my diet and lifestyle that things began to get better. I was more conscious about what I putting into my body, choosing more natural chemical free foods that I could see the difference in my skin. Naturally, the next step was to start putting more natural and gentle ingredients onto my body. I began creating and formulating my own bath and body products, with much success to the health of my skin. I enjoyed the process and the results so much that I decided to share it with others who were suffering with the same issues as I was.
What began as a few bars of soap meant to ease my discomfort and boost my skin health, has progressed into a full line of bath, body, skin and hair care, all locally made with love and gentle, natural ingredients.
