Steph Desjardins, Crafter, Maker, Islander and family man; I became a Maker in 2010 and have grown my business a little (or a lot) every year since. My personal goal is to cut down on plastic and other non biodegrading products so when I started building up my business, it came naturally to use materials that were natural, sustainable, non-toxic and biodegradable. I started by making wooden toys and kids furniture and grew into the crate business. Through a few winters of studying leather craft I added leather goods to the business as well and it has now become a huge part of Manitoulin Crate Co.
