Living in Squamish surrounded by all that nature can provide Rebecca Santry re-ignited her passion for art and the outdoors, utilizing what nature had to offer, with the medium of Cyanotype. Art is Rebecca’s therapy, a place to escape, play and challenge herself. She wanted to create artwork that reflected her passion for all of this.
The medium of Cyanotype is an alternative photo process from the 1800’s, light sensitive compounds exposed to UV/Sunlight develop the image. The process of coating paper, curating the layouts, exposing, and washing the prints is all done by hand. Each piece is one of a kind and always distinctive.
