Surrounded by mountains, lakes, and the ocean on Canada’s West Coast, our founder James Irwin spent countless hours exploring the Great Outdoors. A biologist by training, with previous experience in algae biofuels, he became aware of algae’s nutritional benefits. He read study after study associating algae with muscle, joint, skin, and eye health and decided to give it a try.
