At Silver Bee Designs we are creative beings not least because there is joy in it. There’s joy in completion, in holding a finished piece before your eyes to see the effort and the hours given shape as something unique. There is joy, too, in the craft, in discovering just the right tool or improvising a better technique. If you’re in your element there is joy in all of it.
I design and hand fabricate every piece in my studio on Gabriola, one of British Columbia’s Southern Gulf Islands. I feel privileged to be here, surrounded by ocean and forest, able to spend my days (and often my evenings) doing what I love. The joy of creation and of being surrounded by nature is the soul of each piece I make, and what I hope each piece conveys in its own unique way.
