My name is Abby Lerner and I’m the founder, owner and chef at Two Birds Sweets & Treats. I started Two Birds in 2017 to bring people joy through handmade candies and chocolates. I have always had a passion for food, and have been baking for most of my life. I got excited about candy making and chocolate 15 years ago, and in 2007, I moved to New York to study baking and pastry at the Institute of Culinary Education. I’ve lived in a bunch of different places, but when I moved to Nova Scotia with my family, I knew I was finally home. This is the best place to live!
Two Birds began as a table at the Wolfville Farmers Market, where I could connect with my wonderful customers every Saturday morning. I still sell through the market, but now I’m thrilled to be able to ship my handmade treats to you wherever you may be! I make everything myself completely from scratch, using only the best quality, real food ingredients. Nothing artificial ever.
Starting this business is the culmination of years and years of planning and dreaming. It’s the most fun, exciting, challenging job I’ve ever had.
