Serendipity. That’s how we describe how we came together at Village Brewery to form a community brewery in Calgary. One person with 20 years of experience ought to be enough to start making beer, but we’re seven guys with over 180 years of beer experience, and many of us have passed up opportunities to start breweries in the past. Never felt right
But when we sat down together we couldn’t help but notice we had a footing in every side of the brewing business: brewing, plant operations, finance, business management, sales and marketing. We stirred all that together and look what came out: a nice balanced brewery and a force to do a bit of good for the Calgary community. And, umm, tasty beer.
