Oberhund Dog Services & Products (est. 2005) offers force-free science-based dog training services as well as consultation services for dog-centric projects. Oberhund is owned and operated by Jennifer Berg CPDT-KA, CDBC with the goal to promote dogs’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing to help make the community a better place for dogs and their people.
Jennifer has over 16 years of experience teaching private and group classes. In 2014 Jennifer Berg became Regina’s first Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) — credentials from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, the leading independent certifying organization for professionals in the dog training industry. In January 2022 she earned her Certified Dog Behavior Consultant credentials (CDBC) with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (the first one in Saskatchewan, Canada).
Jennifer strongly believes in the importance of continuing education and is working towards more certifications as her busy schedule allows. She has her Pet First Aid training from Walks ‘N’ Wags, Red Cross Basic First Aid and CPR/AED Level C, and in 2015 she completed a 60-hour Missing Animal Response course where she received instruction in K9 pet detective search dog training. She volunteers to help local lost & found dogs and is currently researching dog-park conflicts to improve dog park designs. In 2021 Jennifer became the editor of the quarterly newsletter for the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
