I started selling the Spread’em Kitchen Co. dips at the local farmer’s market to earn some extra money to go on a trip to South America because I was feeling that my current job was lacking purpose and connection and I was going to take some time to think about how I could do something that would affect people in a positive, meaningful way.

All I had was a $500 credit card limit and a cargo bike. I hand cut all the labels to save money and stuck them on with tape. I picked up all my ingredients from the local veggie grocer on my cargo bike because I didn’t own a car and blended hundreds of dips in my little blender in my home kitchen.
