Pine View Farms is owned by Kevin and Melanie Boldt & Family and has been in operation since 1998. We are fourth generation family farmers. Kevin’s Great Grandfather settled on this yard in 1901 with his wife and 18 children. Our family continues the tradition of growing food for the community (but not the 18 kids part!). Many things have changed in the last 100+ years, but one thing has not. That is, no matter who you are or where you are in life, you deserve the simple pleasure of eating good food, grown well. The Sunshine Organic Farm farm has evolved from one quarter of land in 1979 to a certified organic farm comprised of 960 acres and raising beef, pork, turkeys, chicken and hens for eggs. It is a self-sufficient family farming operation working with nature and generating funds that allow us to operate without off-farm income. Growing grain, making our own rations and processing our meat products on-site have allowed us to minimize costs and given us total control of the end product. Surrounded by the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Ducks Unlimited, organic neighbours and crown land, First Nature Farms are producers of certified organic meats. The farm was settled in 1918. For decades it operated as a large cattle ranch and has been referred to as “The Ranch” ever since. In 1980 I became a partner on the ranch that would eventually evolve into First Nature Farms.
