West Kootenay Animal Hospital has 4 Doctors and a dedicated team consisting of Client Care Specialists, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and Veterinary Assistants. Please see biographies of our staff under Our Team. We treat companion animals including: dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets.
Our Facility was established in 1967 by Dr. Peter Morgenthaler. The original facility served the area for over three decades. In May of 1997 Drs. Rob and Elaine Klemmensen purchased the hospital and quickly outgrew the original building. A new, modern one was constructed on the same property in the summer of 2007. Dr. April Hahn purchased the new one in September of 2017.
